A primary goal of this project is actual, real world exhibition of artwork. So, where will the exhibition take place? When? How… and all that junk???

The location will move.. different locations at different times. Of specific interest is locations hosting high profile events of various natures. Think.. The Olympics. I lived through the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver BC and I can tell you.. had I landed on these ideas with enough lead time.. I’d have had a kick ass exhibition here. So, I’m taking those thoughts, lessons, and ideas to an international potential.

Exhibited artists WILL be published. So, you will have, on site, books of your artwork for sale. Instead of stressing over selling 200$+ pieces of work.. pander to the masses and sell off copies of your book at a fraction of the price. And, it could very easily stand as a “catalog” of available pieces for review when the individual(s) return home.. not to mention, a book is far easier to cart around than an original work of art. So, it’s a win- win situation.

Do you have to attend the exhibition? Not necessarily. Ideally, it’d be great if you were there and every attempt will be made to provide exhibited artists with “dorm” space.. facilitating attendance. But, if it’s not in the cards, it just won’t be so, other plans will be examined. But, your work will have to be there.. a volume of prints at a size competent for gallery exhibition.

So.. what’s the hook? What’s the catch? How will folks know to come by and check things out?

A separate but associated business will venture to publish “coupon books” for the locals and visitors alike. This coupon book will be rife with information on the exhibition~ along with articles on the artists themselves. Each business listed within the book will provide promotional incentives to draw in customers (I.E.: discounts in the form of coupons within said book). And, each person who purchases the book has the option of either A) cutting out the coupon and destroying the book (or the artwork on the other side of the page) or B) taking a quick trip down to the exhibition and collecting their FREE PHOTO ID.. all they have to do is show the ID at point of sale and the associated discount is given.

But that’s not all. I’ll leave some secrets for later discovery/ revelations.. otherwise, anyone could do this.
