M. Scott Ault…
artist.. author.. sporadic adventurer..
Born in a rather large red brick building that had~ most likely~ light green tiled walls and, most probably, smelled distinctly of amonia, our narrator.. our protagonist.. The Artist M. Scott Ault was brought in to the world screaming and mewling to two middle class mid level managers who definitely never would have thought about tripping off to the Monterey Pop Festival.. or taking him~ as a toddle~ to Woodstock a few years later. No, he grew up in suburban Ottawa and knew a suburban life.. and divorce, a theme that would resound throughout his life, started~ in earnest~ at the tender age of 7.
We have finished the first phase of a slow relocation to the North Coast of British Columbia.. my project OCEANCYCLIST, however, remains in the grand ol’ schitty of CowGary (YYC) .. My big boat still sits in TheBoatshed and I’ll be back working on her in a couple weeks.. putting some much thought out plans in to action to increase her bow length and lines to result in a sort- of “Wave Piercer” or open- ocean rowboat configuration. I, also, hope to add in the length- running stringers at several different levels.. these “stringers” will be part of the end- to- end strength and they wiil, also, be what the RIBS get mounted on to.. with insulation being stuffed in the gaps created.
