this one won’t get a link.. but the album has almost 10 different groupings that’ll be posted over the next little bit.  I’ve added this awesome feature image from Trish’s Wreck beach session as a keygrab sorta attention seeking visual aid.. but you’ll be scouring the multiple galleries for the new post.. two albums so far. 

I don’t have a lot to say right now.. it’s snowing pretty heavily up here in Terrace and the temp is about to drop massively- only for a few days but still.. it’s gonna hit -25C for the next few days. yay.

I may have mentioned the plan to move the boat to Kelowna.. still working on it. Just sent $$ to a friend to pick up a cool Kona Cindercone VINTAGE steel bike frame.. it’s a 15″ frame which is .. MY SIZE.. so, now I have to decide- strip it completely and repaint or rip the decals and order new ones only.. or just clean it and rebuild it to be ridden as a beater.. but it’s pedigree is so NOT beater status! 

As an aside, I was pretty heavily talking to Kona (or, “The Bicycle Group” as they are) about sponsorship for the Amazon North to Rip ride (that failed because the two cyclists.. *ahem* that rode off with me couldn’t hack the reality of cycling day in and day out).. almost got four Kona Hei Hei’s (titanium mountain bikes).. and I woulda settled for Cindercones but.. well, we had to leave before they could get back to us on the deal. 

Anyhow.. I still have TONS of scans to work on.. like the one at left.. retouching to clean up scan artifacts, colours, and what not.. and as I do that- I am also laying out a couple coffee table books for sale.

I’ve been super busy working on the back end of a cool Streamed Event that’ll be taking place on March 20th/ 21st .. and putting some finishing touches on a sculpture I started months ago.. months before the move from YYC to Terrace.. so, it’s been sitting and staring at me for almost a year and a half.

Feels good to have soapstone dust covering me once again.

When the piece is finished, I’ve got a cool photo idea for it. I’ll shoot this one (still working on the title but something along the lines of Sunrise caught between fingers.. ) and Ecce Homo for real cool effect and display/ sale. I’m also gonna be doing digital documentation so that I can reproduce the pieces with 3D printers and/ or Brass Foundries. I have a plan… I’m actually kinda excited about it.. The Boat Journey is part one..

And yeah.. Brianna is back in the galleries. Not sure why she was pulled but she’s back. Such a luscious blonde.. young, lithe.. I’m hoping to reconnect with her in Kelowna, once I relocate TheBoat to the Okanagan since she’s an accountant.. not for more photo sessions but for book keeping/ accountancy stuff 😉

So, Meghan’s PRINT galleries are now live again. Such a lithe and active individual.. so photogenic. I still remember the first day she was working reception at.. some odd business or other downtown Vancouver.. if memory serves, it was a long white reception desk with a few people working it. Loved her landingstrip.. and the way she almost made love to my camera.. such good times in Vancouver they were.

I’m starting to hear back from possible sponsors for My Journey and for my upcoming massive extreme event in March (pushed off from February to give me time in the new year to go to Calgary and grab The Boat). Looks like I’ll be working with a saxaphone- synthesizer practice tool.. seeing if I can connect it via midi to my DAW and have it be a cool holophoner (Futurama) 😉 So, it looks like I’ve got some PRIZES lining up for participants in that cool event.. stay tooned for more deets.

Teel (sometimes I spell it “Teal”) is an absolutely awesome individual. Expect to see a book coming shortly.. she modelled with SparkleFaerie, Meghann, and in the industrial wasted space of IWL Film’s “TC Backlot” during the motorcycle shoot AND a second session as my “assistant” when I went back to shoot the property. 

 

Just18 when we met while she was counter staff at a Metrotown clothing store.. now, she’s living up- island and having a great time being a MOM.

Ok, today was a MASSIVE update.. 

Meghan hasn’t been seen online before.. and here we have several sessions all posted! 12 galleries that I had all dialled before the.. shut down.. and I forgot where I had put them. Fun sessions.. I miss those days. 

She had such amazingly firm breasts and that little landing strip of pubic hair.. a wonder. I met her while I was a bike courier in Vancouver and she went on to Langara for graphic design..

Another newish session.. this time with an Aussie lass (video to come soonish.. pending edit time). Her first ever nude session at 21 years of age and in the old/ first YYC studio space. Man, what a messed up space that was! Co- renter was.. loco big time! Dropped the keys off shortly after this session and started looking for other saces to use.

The next spac we used was part of a church.. and we moved in, COVID hit and we started moving out.. spent three months in that space without any protection or cleaning services so we.. left. Not expensive/ not cheap.. but no nudes shot there.

So, I still do need to recalibrate my plan for posting.. for the next while it’ll be sporadic and random schedulings but as I fine tune what needs to be done compared to what I can do/ steps needed, I’ll be able to share more of what I’ll be doing and when. I’m also working in to my timetable a 2 hour window (to start) for training.. 90 mins on the spinner of pain and 30 mins in the weight room. So, by the time I head ack to YYC I should be.. at least a few pounds trimmer.

The first post in how long? Apologies.. but life has been in “upheval” mode for the last many months. Being RENOVICTED out of our little Calgary bungalow really did a number on me. But..

A couple weeks ago, my wife went away for a couple weeks and that allowed me to do what needed to be done- ORGANIZATION- in our new spaces.. and did that ever help!

In fact, one thing it allowed me to do was.. ORGANIZE MY FILM NEGATIVES! A task that had been weighing heavily on my head ever since.. well, ever since I started shooting! 

So, here we *finally* have Meldina.. captured originally in Banff circa 2000.. right around the time my girlfriend/ fiancee and I became.. husband and wife. Yup, Sparklefaerie and me have been an item since these many long years (and you don’t wanna know how many neg files I have organized of hers… it’s a volume all on her own- and will be a volume all her own, shortly).

Anyhow- long time coming, but to all who wait, a great return as I’ve got so much material that has never before even been scanned.. all of it to share right here. Valentina is in the bullpen next, scaning her negs and Slide Copying her.. slides.. and following that, I’ll be digging in to Katy’s explorations in to the theme of Media and it’s intrusion in to our day to day existence.. a theme/ concept that I intend on revisiting with the broader scope of “SCREENS” in the coming months with.. new models.

Melinda is the first update to come since I organized my film backlog.

With all the moves and attempts to get working neg scanners *on a budget* my collected negative archive(s) was, not only voluminous but.. spread out over many many boxes and only a small small handful were even remotely organized! 

This issue was magnified by the effects of abuse that cause me to jump headlong in to a new job.. hoping for work- pay sustinence enough to allow my artistic pursuits to flourish. But, when you work for someone else, it is their dreams that you are feeding.. NEVER your own!

So, now- while I am pursuing mine own dream~ OceanCyclist~ I am also leveraging decades of Fine Art Nude shooting for fiscal support.
